NORTH VALLEY VOLKS CLUB
NOV. 8, Saturday
Cruise to Turtle Bay Exploration Park
11/7, noon: CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST OF SHOWERS FOR SATURDAY. Sally/Gerry/Jon.
Depart from Raley's shopping center, Notre Dame Blvd., Chico, at 9 a.m. (Folks may want to join up north of town on Highway 99 at Biker Bobs place as we come by). Start back between 3 and 4 p.m.
Special exibits: Geckos, Pistols (from Annie Oakley to JFK...) and Evolution of firearms technology.
Admission $13 for ages 13 and older; $9 for ages 4-12 and seniors 65+; kids under 4 get in free.
Bring lunch or buy it at the park cafe.
Jon W. will lead -- some off-highway back-roads.
Bring some greenbacks for raffle of black and white VW stained glass hanging, made by Susan. Raffle tickets sold to Nov. 10 at social night, when drawing will take place. Winner does not have to be present to win.

NOV. 10, Mon. -- Social Night
Social night, 6:30-8 p.m. … at Round Table Pizza, 964 Mangrove Ave., Chico. Gerry, 570-6600.
DEC.7, Sun. (changed from Sat. to Sun.)-- Holiday Potluck Party
This is an annual event. Phil and Susan will host this at their home in Chico. Turkey and stuffing provided; others bring holiday dishes.
Exchange gifts: white elephant items, joke gifts, something automotive, VW, new but under $10, etc. We take turns opening these and you can open one or take someone else's if you like the gift.
Bring a VW story to share: your first VW, trip in one, etc.
Games.
Please RSVP to Phil and Susan and let them know if you plan on attending and what dish you wish to bring. Suggestions for party activities are also welcome.

Christmas Tour of Lights
Last year, Phil and Susan planned a great route in advance and led us on a night driving tour of Chico lights. Although it was pouring rain, the lights were amazing and Phil did a great job!
It's on again for this year.
We wait until the schedule of houses with special lighting is published in December, then schedule an evening to tour (Usually a weeknight, third week of Dec.). This year we may make a hot chocolate stop somewhere (someone's house? or restaurant). Lasts for about 1 1/2 hours.
Suggestions always welcome.
